Just got home from the Minecraft Day/Mhykol Meetup at Barnes & Noble! It was a lot of fun and meeting Mhykol was great! He was really nice and chatted with us and things. And there were so many kids who loved Minecraft and Mindcrack! It was great! When I asked to take a picture with everyone, the kids insitsed I tweet it to jeb_ with the #MNMinecon!
There was a really cool setup where some lovely people taught some basic redstone, building, and told us about Minecraft Realms.
Some of the kids were really into it, some were more interested in building on the plots server that was setup for the event.
Kids and adults of all ages who enjoy Mindcrack and Minecraft were there hanging out and having a good time!
They were all really cool and I chatted with a bunch of the kids and parents about MInecraft and Mindcrack. Everyone was really nice.
People were there with family and friends, and there wasn’t a lot of room so some had to sit on the floor. It seems the hosts of the event had greatly underestimated the turnout.
All the kids were really creative and really good builders(better then me, that’s for sure). One of the kids built a McDankeys, like on the Lords of Minecraft server, one of them built Generik’s RV!
The hosts were really creative and the Starbucks in store was serving this little chocolatey drinks called ‘Grass Block Frappacinos’. They gave out samples to the kids, without coffee of course.
Meeting Mhykol and everyone was really amazing and I hope more events like this happen in my area. I took my first selfie ever with Mhykol(it turned out very poorly). It was a really awesome experience!
Very long post, I know. But I just wanted to share with everyone! :D
